Homemade oat milk
Recipe:
1 cup organic steel-cut oats (or whole grain oats groats)
3 cups boiled water (at room temperature)
(1) Presoaked oats for 1 hour
(2) In a blender, pour in oats and water. Blend mixture till smooth without overdoing it otherwise oat milk will look slimey
(3) Filter using cheese cloth and keep oat milk in storage bottles, in fridge for 3 days for full freshness.
Note: Do not press oats when filtering out the milk to avoid getting slimy milk - gently scrape around using spoon is sufficient.
Variation:
-Oats can be boiled. Boil oats after soaking, leave to cool before sieving through wire mesh and cheesecloth
-Oat milk can add organic sugar syrup for tasting
