Steamed chicken rice with brussel sprouts
















Recipe:
Precooked rice
2 small chicken parts (rub with 1 Tbsp vco)
2 red dates (pitted)
1 small yu zhuk (solomon's seal)
1 tsp organic wolfberries
4 brussel sprouts

Put all ingredients on the rice and steam under high heat for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.

Steamed bittergourd chicken with soup base

Lunch for the 17M+ lo : Steamed bittergourd chicken with soup base
Recipe:
2 small pieces chicken
1/2 cup diced bittergourd
1 organic red date (pitted)
2/3 cup soup base
1 Tbsp organic wolfberries
(1) Heat up some water in a steamer.
(2) Put everything in a bowl except wolfberries and steam for 20 minutes.
(3) Once done, add in wolfberries and serve accordingly. I added some organic fried tofu (not in picture) to go with the bittergourd chicken.

Easy Steamed Pumpkin Chicken

Lunch for 16M lo: steamed pumpkin chicken
Ingredients:
chicken breast
garlic
pumpkin
Put all ingredients in a steaming bowl and steam for 30 minutes. Without adding any water, the chicken would be moisture and tasty due to the steam water release and liquid from pumpkin flesh.

Steamed chicken with wild rice and vegetables

Dinner for 16M+ lo: steamed chicken with wild rice and nai pak
Recipe:
1 piece chicken part (marinated with lemon juice)
1/4 cup cooked wild rice
5 stalks chive (chopped)
1/2 cup chopped nai pak
1 duck egg + 2 Tbsp soup stock (lightly beaten)
(1) Layer in sequence: rice, chicken and chive.
(2) Pour in egg batter and steam for 15 minutes.
(3) Add in vegetables and continue to steam for another 5 minutes.

Steamed egg rice






















We went out earlier. This was what i prepared.
Steamed egg rice with minced meat, shitake mushroom and xiao bai chai.
Recipe:
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 small slice lean beaf (minced)
1 kampung egg (lightly beaten and mixed with 1.5 Tbsp homemade milk)
4 organic dried shitake mushroom (thinly sliced)
2-3 stalks organic xiao bai chai (finely cut)
(1) Stir 1tsp vco into cooked rice and mix well.
(2) Pour in egg batter and add in mince meat and mushroom. Steam for 8 minutes.
(3) Add in vegetables and continue to steam for another 5 minutes.

Steamed vegetables rice with cheese and egg















Recipe:
1/2 cup basmathi rice
2 duck egg + 1/8 cup homemade milk
1 cup small pea shoots (xiao dou miao)
1/8 cup diced carrot
1/8 cup diced egg plant
1/8 cup chopped chive
1/8 cup diced bittergourd
1/2 red onion (chopped)
2 Tbsp cream cheese
1 Tbsp shredded cheddar cheese
(1) Steamed rice with homemade milk and set aside.
(2) In sequence, add in bittergourd, egg plant, carrot and chive. Pour in egg batter and steam for 8 minutes.
(3) Add in pea shoots and top with cream cheese ans cheddar cheese. Continue to steam for another 3 minutes. Remove from steamer carefully and serve once slightly cool.

Steamed purple sweet potato with egg with vegetables

Recipe:
4 small purple sweet potato  (steamed and mashed)
1 cob organic corn kernel (cob removed) 
4 organic cherry tomato (chopped)
2 cup organic spinach (finely chopped)
4 organic fried tofu (cubed)
1 duck egg (mixed with 1.5Tbsp soup stock and lightly stir)
2 Tbsp cream cheese (soften)

Layer the ingredients -

(1) Put mashed purple sweet potato in a steaming bowl.

(2) Add in sweet corns. Pour in egg mixture.

(3) Add in greens. Add in tomato. Add in fried tofu.

(4) Steam for 8-10 minutes. Once done, add in cream cheese on top and cover with lid for 2 minutes before serve.

Made 1 adult serving.

Steamed egg rice with vegetables and topped with ricotta cheese
























































Recipe:
Cooked rice (Mix of buckwheat, millet and white rice)
1 Kampung egg (lightly beaten and mixed with 1.5 portion of water)
1/2 aubergine (cubed)
1 okra (cubed)
some mizuna (chopped)
1 Tbsp ricotta cheese

(1) Steam rice till cooked. Once done, stir the rice well. Is okay if the rice is slightly moisture.

(2) Add all the vegetables on top of the rice and around. Beat in egg mixed with water.

(3) Once done, add ricotta cheese and leave in the steamer for few minutes before dish out.

Results: This is a yummy and simple meal suitable for babies who can chew well. It is also a very subtle way to introduce egg.

Steamed cheesy pumpkin rice






















Recipe:
cooked basmati rice
steamed pumpkin
1 pan fried egg
pan fried shitake with broccoli
mozarella cheese

(1) Mixed pumpkin puree (removed excess water -mix with cooked basmati rice). Scope and lay flat onto a steam able square bowl.

(2) Separately, pan fry some chopped garlic till fragrant, add in mushroom and pan fry a while. Add in brocolli and pan fry till 70% cooked.

(3) Pan fry 1 beaten egg and set aside.

(4) Return to the steam able square bowl. Lay the pan fried mushroom and broccoli on it. Top with egg. Lastly add some slices of mozarella cheese.

(5) Steam for 5 minutes or till broccoli is soft and cheese melted. Serve immediately.

Cheese steamed rice









































Recipe:
1/2 cup rice (pre-cooked and cooled at room temperature)
Some finely chopped / shredded ingredients:
carrots, cabbage, onions, green zucchini, yellow pepper
1 egg beaten
handful of mozarella cheese

(1) Mix all ingredients with rice in a bowl in a shallow square bowl and press flat.

(2) Bring to steamer and steam for 15 minutes.

(3) Top with cheese 5 minutes before finish steaming and continue to steam till done.

(4) Scope out once slight cool.

Steamed meat patties








































Recipe:
Few slices of chicken fillet (chopped)
4 big prawns (cleaned and chopped)
1 stalk scallion (chopped)
1/2 potato (sliced, and finely chopped)
2 cherry tomatoes (sliced, roughly cut and removed excess juice)
1 big brown button mushroom (sliced and finely cut)
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp corn flour

(1) In a big bowl, combine all ingredients using a chopstick.

(2) Add coconut oil and corn flour and mix well. Using hands, form the mixture into a rectangle log.

(3) Put the patty in fridge for 30 minutes.

(4) Steam for 15 minutes. Once done, drizzle some orange juice on the patty and close cover for
another 5 minutes. Cut into smaller portion and serve warm.


Results: Prawns gave some sweet taste to the dish while scallions made it more tasty
