Homemade 4 grains sesame milk
Recipe (using Philips soy milk maker):
4.5 cup water
1/5 cup organic soya bean
1/5 cup organic millet
1/5 cup wheat germ
1/5 cup organic rolled oats
1/5 cup black sesame (replacing the original recipe calls for black glutinous rice)
Topping:
1/2 organic apple (chopped)
(1) Soaked all grains and oats for at least 6 hours.
(2) Rinsed and drained all grains and oats over a sieve before use.
(3) Put to 5 grains milk mode and let it cooks for 25 minutes. Once done, serve with some chopped organic apples.
Alternative way: Using a glass blender, blend all ingredients till smooth and bring to boil for 25 minutes or till soft and dissolved.
Note: You can filter the milk over a nut cloth or cheesecloth for a smoother pulp free milk.
Glass noodle omelette

Recipe:
1 duck egg
2 Tbsp homemade milk
1 cup glass noodle (boiled and drained over filtered water)
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 shallot (sliced)
1/2 red chilli (deseeded and chopped)
2 stalks organic kailan (finely chopped)
(1) Heat up some oil on a frying pan. Saute garlic and shallot till fragrant.
(2) Add in chilli and stir fry. Add in kailan, stalks first then leaves and stir fry.
(3) Toss in glass noodle and fry and mix well with the ingredients. Once done, dish out and set aside.
(4) In a separate bowl, beat egg and mix in milk. Pour the mixture on a frying pan heated with some oil.
(5) Once it is half cooked, put the cooked ingredients earlier filling on half side of the pan fried egg.
(6) Flip the other side up and wrap the ingredients with fried egg using frying ladle. Roughly divide into two portion. Dish out carefully and serve immediately.
Made 1 adult serving
Result: We are eating out today, and this is my first time using duck egg. I must say i like the pretty firm round orangey yolk :)
Steamed prawn egg tofu served with onion rice

Recipe:
1 XL size fresh prawn
1/2 piece organic silken tofu
2 quail egg
1,5 Tbsp homemade milk
1/2 organic tomato (chopped)
1 knob old ginger (cut into strips)
(1) Put tofu in a bowl. Mix quail egg and milk together and pour onto the tofu.
(2) Put chopped tomato on it. Top with prawn and ginger slices.
(3) Steam for 5 minutes and remove only the prawn from steamer. Continue to steam for another 5 minutes or till egg batter harden. Put back the prawn on top and serve immediately.
For the rice, combine 1/2 cup rice with 2/3 cup soup stock and add in 2 shallots (quartered) in a bowl. Steam for 15 minutes.
Red bean soya milk
Recipe (using Philips soy milk maker):
1/2 cup organic soya bean (soaked overnight)
1/8 cup adzuki bean (soaked overnight)
4 cup filtered water
Topping -
1/2 cup organic muesli (soaked overnight)
5 organic grapes (chopped)
2 strawberries (chopped)
Mode: Soymilk
Alternative method : Using a glass blender, blend beans with water and boil for 30 minutes. Once done, served with muesli and fruits.
Cashew milk served with apple and dried apricot

Recipe (using Philips soy milk maker):
2/3 cup cashew nut (soaked overnight)
1 Tbsp flaxseeds (presoaked)
4 cup filtered water
Topping
1/2 organic apple (chopped)
2 organic dried apricot (chopped)
Using conventional way, you can boil for 15-20 minutes after blend blend all ingredients or drink it rustic.
Rice milk with strawberries and appricots

Recipe:
Recipe (using Philips soy milk maker)
1 cup basmati rice
4 cup water
1 medjool date
dash of nutritional yeast
2 chopped strawberries
1 chopped apricot
If you use glass blender, can try 1/2 cup rice with 2 cup water. Reason being the portion would be just nice. Once done, you can heat it up or drink raw. For tasting, i added medjool dates. You can add raw cinnamon powder, coconut palm sugar, raw cocoa powder for a cocoa rice milk for a better taste.
Results: I find the milk is thick, thus will try to reduce the rice next time. This milk has a milder taste compared to nuts milk thus adding flavouring will make it more tasty.
Steamed gluten free grape muffin

Recipe:
2 Tbsp buckwheat flour
1/8 tsp baking powder
1 quail egg
5 grapes (mashed)
1 tsp olive oil
Mix wet and dry ingredients separately. Once done, combine together and steam in a preheated steamer for 15 minutes.
Made 1 muffin

Quail egg vegetables fried rice
Recipe;
1 cup rice (cooked and cooled)
4 quail eggs
1/2 cup watercress soup stock
2 clove garlic (minced)
2 shallots (sliced)
1 organic tomato (cubed)
1/2 aubergine (cubed)
1/2 red chilli (deseeded and cut into long strips)
handful of baby spinach (stalks and leaves separated)
2 cube shredded cheddar cheese
1 knob butter
1 Tbsp vco
(1) Heat up some vco on a cooking pan. Saute garlic and shallot till fragrant.
(2) Add in red chilli and stir fry. Add in aubergine and stir fry. Add in tomato to add more moisture to the ingredients.
(3) Add in spinach stalks and stir fry, followed by spinach leaves. Pour in some soup stock and allow some moisture to the ingredients.
(4) Add in rice, fry and mix well. Add the butter and coat the rice with more butter especially. Stir fry and add the remaining soup stock if too dry.
(5) Once it starts to dry up, make a well from the middle. Crack all the quail eggs on a bowl carefully and make sure there is no shells residue. Pour the eggs from the middle in the cooking pan, stir and let cook till it is half harden. Flip the fried egg around and separate it lightly. Start to stir and mix with the rice and other ingredients.
(5) Once done, off fire. Add in shredded cheese and stir to mix well. Serve immediately.
Made 1 adult serving.
Results : This is one of the tastiest fried rice i ever made. It is a must keep recipe for me. I find that adding chilli makes the dish extra flavourful and it is much healthier compared with adding seasoning. It is also a good way of introducing mild spicy food to baby.
Millet quinoa oatmeal using Philips Soy Milk Maker
Recipe;
1 cup organic rolled oats
1/2 cup organic millet
1/4 cup organic tri colour quinoa
3-4 cups filtered water
6 large organic grapes (chopped)
(1) Soak the oats for 12 hours, millet for 10 hours and quinoa for 6 hours. Once done, rinse them through and strain off excess water.
Using Philips Soy Milk Maker -
(1) In sequence, put in oats, millet and quinoa. Fill the water till allowable indicated line in the machine.
(2) Set to multi grain milk mode and let it cook accordingly. It shall take around 20 minutes.
(3) Once done, carefully scope out the oatmeal and serve with fresh grapes for additional sweetness.
Note: Following the portion of ingredients above, it is possible to cook using the conventional way and blend before serve / serve directly. Another way would be using slow cooker and cook it overnight for a softer texture.
Spring onion chicken rice in rice cooker

Recipe:
1 cup white rice
1 free-range chicken drumstick
1 free-range chicken wing
4 cloves garlic
1 knob ginger
2 bunch spring onion
1 tsp vco
some chopped parsley
4-5 stalks nai pak
(1) Put rice and water into rice cooker. Add and arrange all the ingredients in the rice cooker except parsley and nai pak. Set to cooking mode.
(2) Separately, steam nai pak for 5 minutes.
(3) Once done, mix well the rice and serve with fresh parsley and steamed nai pak.
Homemade almond milk using Philips Soy Milk Maker

Recipe:
1 cup raw almond nuts
Filtered water
(1) Soak raw almond for 2 nights and change water several times.
(2) Using a sauce pan, bring some water to boil. Blanch the almond nuts for few minutes and drain it over cold filtered water immediately.
(3) Pour the nuts into a bowl filled with filtered water. Roughly rub the skin off using both hands. It should take around 10 minutes most.
Using Philips Soy Milk Maker -
(1) Pour the nuts into the machine. Add filtered water till the indication bar between allowable maximum and minimum liquid.
(2) Set to soya milk mode and let it cooks till done. It should take around 20 minutes.
(3) Carefully, strain the milk over metal filter to collect the milk. Serve once it is slightly cool.
Pandan glutinous rice ball with homemade soya milk

Recipe:
Rice ball dough -
2 cup glutinous rice flour
Slightly less than 1 cup homemade pandan extract / juice
(1) Mix well to form a soft dough. Set aside.
Fillings -
a. Black sesame paste
- 1/2 cup organic black sesame seeds
(1) Soak raw black sesame seeds in water overnight. Once done, drain over filtered water and pat dry. Toast on a stove top till the sesame seeds glisten and start to pop. Remove from pan and let stand to cool in room temperature.
(2) In a blender, mix in 1 tbsp butter with the sesame seeds. Blend till a smooth paste form. Set aside.
b. Red bean paste
- 1 cup cooked and soften red bean (using slow cooker method)
(1) Using a blender, blend the red bean till smooth and sticky paste-like form. Set aside.
c. Peanut paste
- 1/2 cup organic raw peanut
(1) Soak raw peanuts for 2 nights. Once done, drain over filtered water and pat dry. Toast on a cooking pan till brown and crispy. Remove from pan and let stand to cool in room temperature.
(2) In a blender, mix 1 tsp olive oil with the peanuts. Blend till a smooth paste form. Set aside.
Wrapping the glutinous rice ball with fillings -
(1) Divide the dough into smaller pieces equally.
(2) Work two by two at one time.
(3) Roll into round shape and press flat the dough. Scope 1 tsp of filling on one of the doughs. Put the other dough on top and start to seal the side. Using hands, roughly roll into round shapes in circular motion. Repeat for the rest of the dough.
Soya bean milk -
1.5 cup organic soya bean
Filtered water
2 Tbsp pandan extract
1 knob ginger
(1) Soak the beans overnight in a big bowl filled with water.
(2) Once done, roughly rub the skin off using both hands. Rinse the beans a few times before use.
(3) In a blender, pour 1 cup of beans with 1.5 cup of water to blend. Once done, strain using a metal sieve over a cheese cloth to collect the soya bean milk. Press the pulp lightly to extract more milk.
Keep the pulp aside for other usage.
*Repeat for the rest of the beans.
(4) Cook the soya milk, with pandan extract and ginger in slow cooker for approximately 4 hours. Roughly scope off the skin formed on top if necessary.
(5) To get a clear, milky soya bean milk, pour the milk over a coffee cloth filter to filter micro pulp residue for the second time before serve.
Pumpkin rice in rice cooker
Recipe:
1 cup white rice
few slices of pumpkin (washed clean)
1/2 egg plan (quartered)
1/2 yellow onion (quartered)
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp vco
Add on later : spinach, kampung egg, mozarella cheese
Put all the ingredients into rice cooker to cook. Once done, add in spinach, beat in an egg and top with some mozarella cheese. Reheat for another 10 minutes.
Couscous salad
Recipe:
1/2 cup couscous
2 quail egg (steamed till hard boiled cooked)
1/2 cup green peas
1 tomato (cubed)
1 kampung egg
1 bunch romaine lettuce
1/2 avocado (sliced small)
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
(1) Pan fry kampung egg with some vco and roughly separate it.
(2) In a separate bowl, put in couscous and pour in hot boiling water to soak for 10 minutes. Once done, drain over filtered water and set aside.
(3) Roughly steam green peas for about 5 minutes.
(4) Mix all ingredients together, toss in extra virgin olive oil and serve immediately.
Homemade screw pine extract

Recipe:
8 screw pine leaves
4 cups water
(1) Pre-soaked screw pine leaves in a big bowl of filtered water.
(2) Trim off the bottom of the leaves, and roughly cut into 2 inches length.
(3) Using a blender, add in 1 cup of water with all the chopped leaves. Blend till it has a smooth and consistent texture and colour.
(4) Remove the mixture from blender, strain the mixture over a cheese cloth on strainer. Roughly press the pulp to get more juice.
(5) Put back the pulp into blender, add 1 cup of water and blend. Repeat the process for the remaining 2 cups of water.
Shrimp fried rice

Recipe:
1/2 cup rice (cooked and cooled)
1/2 small brinjal (cubed)
1/4 yellow pepper (cubed)
1 Tbsp shrimp (presoaked and rinse to reduce saltiness)
2-3 stalks mustard leaves (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 shallots (sliced)
1/2 cup beetroot soup stock
(1) Heat up some oil on a frying pan. Saute garlic and shallot till fragrant.
(2) Add in shrimp and stir fry till fragrant. Add in the rest of the ingredients and stir fry till soft.
(3) Add in soup stock and bring to simmer for a while. Pour in cooked rice, stir fry and mix well. Once done, off fire and serve immediately.
Made 1 adult portion.
Noodle alike vegetables

Recipe:
carrot
yellow pepper
chick peas
bok choy
orange sweet potato
(1) Roughly blanch the vegetables
(2) Boiled chick peas till soft for several hours
(3) Sliced carrot into flat pieces. Use scissors to cut carrot and yellow pepper into strips.
(4) Arrange and serve accordingly.
