Homemade Play Dough (Non-food related)

I had been wanting to do this for my coming to be 2 years old, and here i tried finally making it using natural dyed colour. I experimented using turmeric (for yellow) for a start.

My toddler enjoys playing it during her free time or whenever she feels like exploring it ! I am not worry if she accidentally consume it, the stain easily removed by just washing thoroughly with water.

Ingredients:

1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt (I used himalayan pink salt)
2 tsp cream of tartar (this is needed to let the dough last longer)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 cup warm water + 3/4 tsp of organic turmeric powder (mixed well)

Steps:

(1) Mix all dry ingredients in a sauce pan.

(2) Add wet ingredients and mix well.

(3) Place the pot over medium low temperature, i used 80c only. Stir the mixture throughout
till it begins to turn a little hard and pull away from the side. (around 3 minutes)

(4) Once done, remove from heat and let it cool a little in room temperature.

(5) Knead the dough till smooth and store in air-tight container.

Note: The dough must always store in air tight condition, to prevent dryness.
Testimony : It works well for several months, good till now even without refrigerating.
