Simple Mint Tea for Coughing!

I have heard that Indian Borage (Mint) could be used to relieve cough. I never tried until my mother in law affirmed me that it really work! I have tried this with my children since and it never failed to soothe our throat and subsequently diminish the bad cough.

Before my mother in law left to Hanoi (to be based there due to brother in law relocation), she gave us a full container of the mint leaves. The amazing part was actually not the leave but THE SIZE which were enormous!

Look at the picture below (i put on my palm, imagine the smallest palm of a lady adult you ever met) and tell me if you have seen the similar size~! It is 6 times larger than the usual mint leave i have seen.

Moving on, we use this and boil in water. Do like the method how you would brew a pot of chinese tea. Add 1 cube of rock sugar (optional if you prefer sugar free) and enjoy the drink! Easy isnt!

Recipe :

4 usual size Indian Borage (i use 1 only for the XXL size we have)
1 cup water
1 cube organic raw rock sugar (optional)

Note : Double or Triple the recipe if you intend to serve more people

Steps :
1. Boil the water together with the leave

2. Add sugar (optional) and simmer for 20 minutes

3. Serve the water only (let the leaves continue to simmer) in small cup, and enjoy!
